Dendrobium sulcatum is native to Asia, specifically found in tropical valleys within the Eastern Himalayas, Assam, south-central China, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand. This warm-growing epiphytic orchid thrives in the region's warm summers and cool winters and is known for its flattened pseudobulbs and bright yellow, fragrant flowers.
